The Role
As Data Analyst, you will deliver high-quality data processing, interpretation, and visualisation in support of vehicle and system-level testing across the motorcycle development program. The successful Data Analyst will play a key role in turning raw test data into actionable engineering insights, ensuring test results are understood, documented, and effectively communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and configure data acquisition systems for both on-vehicle and lab testing
- Process large datasets from durability, performance, thermal, and calibration tests
- Ensure test data quality, completeness, and traceability across multiple projects
- Develop and execute repeatable analysis routines using Python, MATLAB, Excel, or equivalent
- Support vehicle evaluation by correlating objective data with rider feedback
- Produce high-quality technical reports and presentations for DVP and project reviews
- Create data dashboards and tools (e.g. using Power BI or custom scripts) to visualise trends, results, and KPIs
- Support the implementation of automated workflows for data handling and reporting
- Collaborate with the Systems & Planning Specialist to enhance team reporting capabilities
- Work closely with Test Engineers, Technicians, and Development Riders to align test outcomes to project targets
- Translate engineering requirements into test parameters and data outputs
- Interface with calibration, chassis, electronics, and validation teams to support project goals
- Maintain structured documentation of all tests, configurations, and analysis methods
- Support the development and improvement of internal data standards, templates, and best practices
Key Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in vehicle development, data analysis, or a similar role (motorcycle or automotive)
- Strong knowledge of data acquisition systems
- Proficient in one or more analysis environments
- Skilled in data cleaning, processing, and visualisation of multi-sensor datasets
- Familiarity with vehicle dynamics, engine data, thermal data and NVH metrics preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving test plans and requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and structured problem-solving approach
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- Motorcycle license preferred; familiarity with vehicle behaviour and ride dynamics beneficial
