The Role
As our Paralegal, you’ll play a key support role within our legal team, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of legal processes. This position offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of legal areas, including contract management, intellectual property, brand protection, disputes, and general legal administration. It’s an excellent role for someone looking to build their career in a dynamic, design-led business with a global footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with external counsel on administrative matters including billing, time recording, PO numbers, and invoice approvals
- Maintain and monitor legal spend trackers and budget forecasts for monthly reporting
- Assist with managing engagement letters and coordinate supplier onboarding of law firms with procurement/finance teams.
- Maintain and update the legal template library (NDAs, supply, and service agreements)
- Support commercial teams with low-risk, low-value agreements (e.g., NDAs, order forms, basic supply terms) under supervision
- Manage contract version control and signatures using e-signature tools (e.g., DocuSign, ContractWorks)
- Support the management of IP registers (trademarks, designs, patents) and liaise with external IP agents
- Track renewal deadlines and ensure timely filings
- Handle first-line queries related to branding and trademark use
- Assist with small claims and customer complaints, including evidence collation and drafting standard responses
- Log and track ongoing claims and legal complaints
- Organise legal files, shared drives, and document management systems for ease of access
- Provide research, reporting, and project support to the legal team
- Help coordinate internal legal training and updates for commercial teams
Requirements
- Law graduate (LLB Hons or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in an in-house legal team or private practice, ideally in a commercial or IP environment
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, personable approach
- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Familiarity with contract management and legal tech tools (or willingness to learn)
- Commercially aware, adaptable, and able to prioritise in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting
- Passion for design, innovation, or the automotive/mobility sector is a plus
