The role
The Motorcycle Accessories Manager supports the development and execution of the motorcycle accessories category, working closely with the Alternative Revenue Director to shape strategy and lead go-to-market execution.
This role is key to ensuring accessories are developed, delivered, and sold effectively to support motorcycle launches and enhance the customer ownership experience. The role works cross-functionally across design, engineering, project teams, sales, and the dealer network to maximise commercial performance and customer satisfaction.
Duties/Responsibilities
Product Development & Delivery
- Execute the motorcycle accessories’ strategy aligned with vehicle product launches and business goals.
- Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Vehicle Line Management, and Project Management teams to ensure accessories are developed and delivered in line with motorcycle product launch timelines.
- Track industry trends, customer insights, and competitive activity to inform the development of new accessories and the enhancement of existing offerings.
- Manage supplier and vendor engagement to coordinate product development, sourcing, and timely availability.
Sales Strategy & Commercial Performance
- Develop and execute the sales and distribution strategy for motorcycle accessories, aligned with overall motorcycle sales objectives.
- Work closely with the motorcycle UK and international sales team and dealer network to drive accessories uptake and attachment rates.
- Create seasonal and launch-based promotional plans in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.
- Analyse sales data and market feedback to optimise pricing, forecast demand, and maximise profitability.
Customer & Dealer Engagement
- Develop and maintain the motorcycle accessories training manual for internal teams and dealer staff.
- Deliver product training to the dealer network, ensuring a high level of knowledge and confidence in presenting and selling accessories.
- Oversee the listing and representation of motorcycle accessories on the company website and other digital platforms, ensuring accuracy, appeal, and up-to-date information.
- Represent the voice of the customer in product reviews and development discussions.
Digital & Retail Readiness
- Oversee the listing and presentation of motorcycle accessories on the website and other digital channels, ensuring information is accurate, engaging, and up to date.
- Collaborate with marketing and e-commerce teams to ensure consistent messaging and promotional activity.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities and inform continuous improvement.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report category performance to senior leadership.
- Contribute insights to inform future product planning and strategic direction.
Personal Specification
- 8+ years’ experience in product, category, or commercial management—ideally within the motorcycle.
- Strong knowledge of motorcycle accessories with a genuine passion for the riding community.
- Proven experience supporting product launches and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent commercial awareness, including experience working with sales teams and dealers to drive revenue.
- Skilled in using data and insight tools (e.g., Excel) to support decision-making.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, training delivery, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in omni-channel sales environments, including dealer and online retail.
- Familiarity with product development processes in collaboration with design and engineering teams in the automotive sector.
- Existing relationships within the motorcycle accessories industry or dealership.
