The Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stores Operative to join our dynamic operations team on a temporary basis for six months. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and movement of parts and components within our facility to ensure seamless production and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately log incoming goods and materials
- Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counting and proper inventory management practices
- Pick and issue materials to production in a timely and accurate manner
- Safely operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet trucks, forklifts if licensed)
- Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies or shortages. Ensure all items are stored safely and labelled correctly
- Assist with the dispatch of finished goods and packaging
- Work closely with procurement, production, and quality teams to support operational flow
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with health and safety standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the stores and warehouse function
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive/motorcycle setting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Computer literacy (ERP/MRP systems experience - desirable)
- Able to lift/move parts as required
- Forklift license (desirable)
