Job Purpose
To carry out end-of-line inspections on fully built Norton motorcycles to ensure all products meet Norton Motorcycles’ quality, safety, and aesthetic standards prior to acceptance for sale.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed end-of-line inspections on completed motorcycles in line with Norton quality standards and inspection criteria
Inspect for cosmetic, functional, and assembly quality to ensure a premium finish aligned with the Norton brand
Verify completeness and conformity of all systems, components, and build documentation prior to product release
Identify, document, and escalate non-conformances using established quality systems and processes
Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to support root cause analysis and corrective actions
Support containment, rework, and re-inspection activities as required
Maintain accurate inspection records to ensure full product traceability
Adhere to all health, safety, and quality policies and procedures
Essential Qualifications
NVQ or BTEC in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent technical qualification)
Essential Experience (Must Haves)
Proven inspection experience within an automotive OEM or large-scale Tier 1 supplier
Experience working in low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environments, where station process content is high (e.g., premium automotive, motorcycle, aerospace, or bespoke vehicle manufacturing)
Strong understanding of build quality, fit and finish standards, and functional inspection processes
Skills & Competencies
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Methodical and structured approach to inspection and problem-solving
Comfortable working in a production environment with premium product expectations
