The role
Norton is looking for a driven and strategic Sales Business Manager to lead sales growth and dealer network development across the assigned territory of France. This is a key role within our commercial function, responsible for managing relationships with our dealer network, hitting wholesale and retail sales targets, and driving the strategic development of our brand presence in-market.
The Sales Business Managers will blend territory sales management, dealer support, and network development planning, ideal for someone with strong commercial instincts and deep knowledge of the motorcycle industry landscape.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Dealer & Network Development
- Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with new dealers set up for Norton to drive performance and engagement.
- Identify opportunities for improving dealer capability, standards, and customer experience.
- Assess gaps in network coverage and support the strategic onboarding of new partners.
- Support dealer appointments, terminations, upgrades, and compliance with brand standards.
- Collaborate with marketing and aftersales to ensure holistic dealer development.
Sales Performance
- Achieve retail and wholesale targets for motorcycles, accessories, and services in the assigned region.
- Collaborate with dealers to plan and execute monthly/quarterly sales activities and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor sales KPIs, pipeline activity, and conversion performance—provide guidance and corrective actions as needed.
- Champion new model launches and dealer readiness (training, POS, demo fleet, etc).
Market and Operational Insight
- Act as the voice of the market back into the business—spotting trends, competitor activity, and risks.
- Feed insights into sales forecasting, product demand planning, and customer targeting.
- Support regional events, demo days, and ride-outs where commercially beneficial
Personal Specification
- 8+ Years experience with a proven track record in sales, territory, or account management—ideally in the motorcycle, powersports, or automotive sectors.
- Experience working with or within a dealer network is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with retail sales process, wholesale terms, and network development frameworks.
- Commercially savvy, target-driven, and confident in managing performance conversations.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills—able to build rapport across varying dealer profiles.
- Structured, analytical, and comfortable interpreting sales data to drive actions.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a dynamic, field-based environment.
- Full motorcycle licence strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region (occasional overnight stays).
- Flexible to attend weekend or evening events when required.
